Disinfection FAQ
What's the difference between cleaning and disinfecting?
Cleaning removes visible dirt and debris. Disinfecting kills germs and bacteria on surfaces. We always clean first, then disinfect — disinfectant can't penetrate dirt, so both steps are essential.
How often should high-touch surfaces be disinfected?
High-traffic areas (door handles, elevator buttons, restroom fixtures) should be disinfected every 1–2 hours during business hours. Other surfaces can be disinfected 2–3 times daily. We customize frequency based on your facility's traffic.
What products do you use for disinfection?
We use EPA-registered, hospital-grade disinfectants proven effective against a broad spectrum of pathogens, including cold and flu viruses. All products meet CDC and OSHA guidelines for commercial and healthcare environments.
Is disinfection included in regular cleaning?
Our standard cleaning programs include basic surface disinfection of restrooms and break areas. High-touch disinfection is a specialized add-on that targets the full list of high-contact surfaces with more frequent, documented coverage.
