Floor Care FAQ
How often should floors be stripped and waxed?
It depends on traffic. High-traffic areas (lobbies, hallways) typically need strip & wax every 6–12 months. Lower-traffic areas can go 12–18 months. We recommend scrub & recoat quarterly to extend the full strip cycle.
Can floor care be done during business hours?
Most floor care is best done after hours due to wet floors and equipment noise. We can schedule strip & wax on weekends or overnight to minimize disruption. Lighter services like spray buffing can sometimes be done during the day.
What's the difference between scrub & recoat and strip & wax?
Scrub & recoat is a lighter service — we top-scrub the existing finish and apply a new coat. Strip & wax removes all old finish down to the bare floor and applies fresh finish from scratch. Strip & wax is more thorough but requires more downtime.
